A break from brochures...

This week, 1-6 graders are taking a break from working on brochures to create a special artwork. In a couple of weeks, an Appreciation Dinner will be held. Students were asked to create artworks expressing their thanks for all the people that help our school.

Students in this short project, created hand designs, acting as a symbol for "lending a hand". Using the Elements of Art, students created a unique design and incorporated a message of appreciation. Students then cut out their design, which will be mounted onto black construction paper.

Also this week, Art Club Bigs members (4-6 graders) finished their Picasso Portraits. Check out the slideshow below to see the wonderful creations!!!
